‘LUMIN’ - derived from Latin lumen "light"

LUMIN is an independent print magazine curated for people of color. This space is all about well-living, mindfulness, and the appreciation of art and craftsmanship. We aim to enlighten our community through brilliantly written pieces that feature a wide range of topics, especially ones we didn’t commonly grow up discussing at the dinner table.

We embrace the digital world we live in, but also understand the value of seeing, holding, and flipping through tangible material. With captivating covers, content, and images, our print magazine can go a lot farther than the best and most innovative digital experience.

We exist to ensure that well-living isn’t kept just for certain communities. Well-living is ours, too. We can and should have resources that encourage elevating our everyday being. We should be represented in images and stories that depict a life full of intention, good health, and ease.
